Issued during the reign of King George V, this series of Canadian five-cent coins represents the era before Canada transitioned its five-cent denomination to pure nickel in 1922 (though the 80% silver composition was used for the larger 5-cent coins until 1921, wait, Canadian 5-cent coins were minted in 80% silver from 1910 to 1921, and then nickel from 1922 onwards... actually this coin is nickel!
