Brief Description

The reverse features the large numeric value '50' with the word 'KOPIYOK' below it, framed by a stylized wreath of berries and leaves. The obverse (not shown) features the Coat of Arms of Ukraine (Tryzub).

Historical Significance

This coin represents the first series of coinage minted for the independent state of Ukraine following its separation from the Soviet Union. Many of the 1992 issues were minted at the Luhansk Machine Tool Plant and Italy.
