The reverse (shown) features an eagle-shaped ampulla and an anointing spoon used in the coronation ceremony, framed by a floral border and topped with a crown.
Historical Significance
Issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne. It was the first of only four 25p 'crowns' issued by the Royal Mint.
