Brief Description
The obverse features a profile of Lady Liberty with her hair tied back, surrounded by stars. The reverse features a large Roman numeral 'V' within a wreath.
Historical Significance
Designed by Charles E. Barber, this coin replaced the Shield Nickel. It is famous for the '1883 No Cents' error version and the extremely rare 1913 issue, of which only five specimens are known to exist.

$1 - $5 for common dates in circulated condition; significantly more for rare dates or high-grade specimens.
