Brief Description

Historical Significance
Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, the Mercury Dime is considered one of the most beautiful U.S. coins. It was minted between 1916 and 1945. The winged cap was intended to symbolize freedom of thought, though the public's misidentification with Mercury gave the coin its popular name. The 1941 issue was minted just as the U.S. was entering World War II.
Estimated Value
$2.00 - $5.00 (Value varies based on silver spot price and condition; circulated specimens like this one typically trade for their bullion value).
Care Instructions
Never clean or polish the coin, as this can severely decrease its numismatic value by damaging the surface. Handle only by the edges to avoid transferring oils from your skin, and store in a PVC-free archival holder in a cool, dry place.
