Brief Description
The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II on horseback, wearing the uniform of Colonel-in-Chief of the Grenadier Guards. The reverse features the Coronation Regalia within a floral wreath.

This coin was issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary (Silver Jubilee) of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne in 1952. It was the first British crown-sized coin to have its value (25 pence) officially announced but not inscribed.
