Brief Description

The Walking Liberty Half Dollar, designed by Adolph A. Weinman, was minted from 1916 to 1947. It is considered one of the most beautiful U.S. coin designs and was created during a period of renewed artistic vigor in American coinage. The 'S' mint mark indicates it was minted in San Francisco. The 1944-S issue was produced towards the end of World War II.
