Brief Description
An eleven-sided (hendecagonal) coin. The reverse features a stylized cyclamen plant with the denomination and country name in Greek, Turkish, and English. The obverse features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Cyprus.
Historical Significance
This coin was part of the final series of the Cyprus pound decimal system which was introduced in 1983. It remained in circulation until Cyprus joined the Eurozone on January 1, 2008.
