Brief Description

The reverse features a peach (the state fruit), sprigs of live oak (the state tree), and the state's outline, all within a banner with the words 'Wisdom, Justice, Moderation'.

Historical Significance

This was the fourth coin released in the 50 State Quarters Program. Georgia was the fourth state to ratify the U.S. Constitution (January 2, 1788). The design honors Georgia's agricultural heritage and state motto.
